Healing
Once you go through the correction phase, your symptoms are probably starting to ease up, with less sharp pain, etc. Usually this occurs at the one month mark. This is also where the doctor will be re-examining and re-x-raying you. Once the results are in from this, the doctor will be able to determine if you are ready for the healing phase, where you will drop in frequency of care to two visits per week. This is also a test, to see if your body is holding the adjustment as it should. During the healing phase of care, one of the goals is to work to get normal curves back to the injured area. Depending how far the injury has progressed, the curve may or may not be able to be fully regained. In the next step in your healing process, the doctor will be sending you to the rehab specialist to start strengthening the injured area.
